Project #8 - Podcast

  1. Kristen,

You did a really great job of explaining all of your assigned chapters from this book! I did not read this book for my podcast assignment, but it sounds like a great book with a lot of insight into the world of teaching. There is nothing like hands on experience....and I am sure that all teachers could write a book about what really goes on in the classroom! By the way, you have a beautiful voice! You could always go into broadcasting if you ever get tired of teaching.

I also enjoyed your TimeToast! I attended and graduated from Auburn University....War Eagle! I am currently getting re-certified in education at USA. I really like South Alabama and the education department really prepares you for teaching! Good luck to you on your studies.

By the way, you have a very beautiful and "BIG" family! I'm sure there is always something fun going on around your house! You definitely are getting plenty of practical experience with all those kids at your house! Maybe you can use some of the stuff you have learned at home in your classroom one day!

  2. Thank you so much for your sweet comments, Kathy! "There Are No Shortcuts" was really such an insightful book. I hope to find the time to read it entirely! War Eagle to you too! :) I LOVED Auburn. It's so beautiful up there! I make trips there as often as I can! And yes, I am absolutely getting tons of practical experience from my home life! I wouldn't trade it for anything! I hope you the rest of your semester goes well! Thanks again!
